Instructors to be employed at YTU SFL are responsible for delivering a student-centered curriculum focused on language and academic skills. They need to be able to
-- operate in the context of Higher Education System and adhere to the rules and regulations governing Higher Education Institutions
-- an excellent command in both written and spoken English
-- be knowledgeable about recent methodologies in the field of English Language Teaching (ELT)
-- have pedagogical knowledge regarding young adults
-- work as part of a team of highly competent professionals
-- foster a supportive and cooperative collegial environment
-- be open to continuous professional development
-- achieve high standards of effective curriculum delivery and learning outcomes
-- help develop the academic needs of students, including critical thinking, study skills, and academic confidence.
The application process works differently for local and international candidates. Local candidates (Turkish citizens) are subject to YÖK (Higher Education Council) procedures. Therefore, they are expected to apply for the job only after seeing the YTU SFL job advertisement on the YTU and YTU SFL web site and they are to follow the procedures indicated there. International candidates can fill in the CV TEMPLATE and send it to ybdmdr@yildiz.edu.tr any time throughout the academic year; however, their application is screened only when the new recruitment season on.
International candidates are required to check the Regulations Concerning the Recruitment of Foreign Instructors at Higher Education Institutions and make sure that they meet the conditions stated in that document.
